Espero que tuviera un feliz día de la Madre ayer Mamá!! I know that it wasn´t mother´s day in the states, but Mother´s day is in October here in Argentina! It seems that it´s the only country that has mother´s day in October! Weird but true!
It´s sad to hear that Grandpa´s health is declining so much! I love Grandpa Simmons! I hope that you are able to enjoy your stay with your Mom and Dad this week. Seriously, I have always looked up to Grandma and Grandpa Simmons so much! I hope to have a marriage as powerful and strong as theirs! Grandpa has always been so loving, fun, and kind! I love that man!
Thanks for your help and a big thanks to Emily Kikkert as well! I´ll check in with the offices Wednesday if they received the package. Luckily, I have been able to work things out with Hermana Robertson (the wife of the mission president) in the meantime to have my medication until I can buy it with the money from home. It´s all good!
As for this past week, we put our shoulders to the wheel and were blessed with some very beautiful experiences!
First, I wanted to make sure to mention some of the blessings I´ve received from God as I have been learning the language. I recognized this past week that God has really been helping me to learn the language. As I learn new words each day in my studies, I am finding that I will have an opportunity to use the word, or I will hear someone using the word throughout the day.
I had one particularly memorable experience in my first transfer that I want to tell. One day in my studies I happened to learn the word "rompecabeza" which is a puzzle or a riddle. That day, we contacted an atheist who was talking about the purpose of life as the great "rompecabeza" of our time. My comp at the time, Elder Wendt, happened to not know the word, and I was able to tell him what it meant! It was seriously a blessing and a clear evidence of the help I have been receiving as I have strived to learn the language in order to fulfill my purpose as a missionary!
This blessing was manifest again this week, when I learned the word "quejarse" which means to complain from Elder Benitez. That day, we were talking with an investigator, Patricia, and she used the word several times throughout the conversation!
As for the rest of the week, we had some great lessons with our current investigators. Particularly, Marcelo and Veronica are progressing to be baptized the 29th of this month! Marcelo is the newly married spouse of Cynthia and Veronica is the girlfriend of a member that had already been attending to church! We had a particularly beautiful lesson with Veronica over the law of chastity and the blessings of living the law. Veronica expressed that she loves our lessons and feels that God is present when we meet together. It was a beautiful moment, and I´m very excited for Veronica and her future!
To finish off the week, yesterday was Mother´s day here, and the sacrament meeting was entirely focused on missionary work! We were in charge of the talks, music, etc. The sister missionaries that are working in our ward (Hermana Flores, Hermana De La O, and Hermana Morton), Elder Benitez, and I sang a song called, "I Will Find You My Friend". It went really well, and I felt like the meeting was really awesome. We had the chance to have Cynthia and Marcelo in the meeting as well as the less active member Mirta with her husband Carlos!
It was a great week, and we were really blessed to help with the progress here in the ward Atalaya. I hope that we can have an incredible week this final week before we find out about transfers.
I know that Jesus Christ lives!

P.S. I have one special request from each of you. I have been studying this past week about keeping the sabbath day holy. We are focusing in with having more investigators in church, and I wanted to ask y'all a question to help with this.
What blessings have you seen in your lives as you have attended to church? I know that for our family it was a very high priority always, and maybe even a "habit", but I would love if you would think about the blessings you have received and email me your thoughts!
Love,
Elder Lambert
