El Segundo Traslado Ya Se Fue, 10/24/16

Hola familia!!

I´m glad that you were able to visit with Grandma and Grandpa this past week Mom! Goodness gracious, I love Grandma and Granpa Simmons! They are such awesome people! I´m also glad to hear you got to see Brett and Bug! I hope all is well with them!

It´s official- my second transfer already ended! Tomorrow my comp and I are going to be heading in to Ramos Mejía where I will meet my third companion! Yep, I have officially been "trained" now.

This next transfer is going to be pretty weird, I will be working with Elder Salmon from Alabama! He will be my first companion from the United States, and we will be working together as a regular companionship! I can say goodbye to my comp having to make the calls as District Leader and prepare for district meeting every week!

And as for where I will be working next....drum roll please.....I will be staying in Atalaya for another transfer!! jaja. I guess I have more work to do here! I´m excited to stay and really work hard to improve even more this transfer!

As for the work this past week- it was an awesome week! We are improving a lot and had some great days this week. We had exchanges twice this week- Tuesday Elder Benitez and I worked with the missionaries of Los Pinos in their area, and Friday all of us worked in our area!

We have a really strong core of investigators right now, and I´m happy to say that Marcelo is progressing towards baptism this Saturday! It was really cool to be able to do a small service project in the house of Marcelo and Cynthia this week. The house originally belonged to an aunt of Cynthia who had fallen on problems with her health that lead to mental issues. She eventually died of cancer, but before this, she hoarded things that filled this gigantic house! She literally crawled over bags of garbage to get to her house and then slept atop of the bags of garbage- crazy. We helped Marcelo to begin the process of putting a new roof over one section of the house. They are really improving their lives step by step. I´m excited for them and their futures.

As for God´s hand in my life this past week- we were really blessed last night. We had a family night activity for the ward planned, and we came to the chapel to find that no one was there! I decided to excercise some faith and call some investigators to invite them! I was able to get a hold of an investigator who didn´t make it to church that day and she came to the activity! She said that she was just thinking about how she wanted to get away from her house to a more peaceful environment because she lives on a busy street and her neighbors were playing really loud music. Just as she was preparing to leave but was unsure about where to go or what to do I was able to get a hold of her on the phone! I was really glad to see her and hope that this will help her to come to Jesus Christ a little bit more by attending to the Church this coming week!

That´s pretty much the news for the week! I don´t know what else to say really. Thanks for all of your love and support! I know that Jesus Christ lives and that we can come unto him as we trust in his atonement and seek to change our lives to better follow him and his commandments. Coming to Jesus Christ is worth every sacrifice that we can make!

Much love,
Elder Lambert

P.S. My letters have virtually no pictures because my camera got lost in the first transfer and I have no way to buy another one here. Sorry folks! Hopefully in the near future!

Much love,
Elder
