Alimentese con las buenas palabras de Dios, 11/28/16

Hola familia! Espero que estén bien!

I hadn´t even thought about the fact that Thanksgiving was approaching until yall mentioned it last week! Thanksgiving isn´t a thing here, but we still had a lot of things to be grateful for this past week.

That´s awesome that you guys got to visit with Grandpa and Grandma Lambert and that Landon and Dad could attend to the Switchfoot and Relient K concert. They seem like they´re really good people, and very talented musicians. The world needs more people that share the light of Jesus Christ!

As for if it´s getting hot- yes sir! We have had several days that were blazing hot, but really we just go, go, go and make sure to ask for something to drink often! Once again, we taught like crazy and we have lots of amazing people that we are hoping to help progress towards baptism. The one that is the most sure is Violeta Suarez for this coming saturday!

I really saw God´s hand in my life this past Tuesday. We had divisions with the zone leaders and I was working in our area with one of the zone leaders. In between appointments, we were walking past a house and I felt like we should contact the people in the house quickly.

We clapped out front (that´s typically how you contact someone in their house here) and a man came out and started to talk with us. Before we could ask if we could teach him about ther gospel he invited us to head back and talk! He told us that when he was much younger he had met the missionaries- it obviously left a really strong impression with him. He had a near-death experience and felt that he was saved by the grace of God for a reason. We hope that he will recognize that the reason is this- he still needs the opportunity to accept the true gospel of Jesus Christ! His name is Orlando, and we are excited to teach him about his relationship with God and Jesus Christ.

The work has been great. We´re excited to see miracles this December and Ilumina el Mundo! As a missionary (and before I was a missionary for that matter) I have constantly had to humble myself. I have been incredibly blessed by God, and with this blessing comes the responsibility to love and help other people. Remember to spend more time lifting up those around you and less time analyzing the faults and flaws. Jesus Christ was our perfect example of a spirit of 100% honesty and 100% love. May we choose to follow his example each day of our lives!

Love,

Elder Lambert
