I´m all back to normal! Glad to hear that you had a great spring break! Sounds like it was a super eventful weekend. I was able to watch all of the conference sessions for only the second time in my mission- it was really cool to hear all of the amazing announcements! I was also really excited to hear about the new temples they announced- including another one here in Argentina!
We did get to speak with Franco this past week. Unfortunately our appointments with Karina got canceled, but hopefully in the coming days we can make contact with her again. Franco has been reading in the Book of Mormon, but we have to work a little more with his family because he doesn´t have a lot of support right now to be able to attend to church.
Besides that I think some of my favorite moments this past week were with our investigator, Nicolas. Nicolas is a 29-year-old that met with the elders for the first time about 2 years ago, but struggled on and off with drugs and alcohol which kept him from progressing towards baptism. We have been blessed because we arrived in a moment where he seems to have finally decided to put the drugs in the past.
We had a couple of awesome lessons with him where we could read in the Book of Mormon together and he showed genuine interest and surprise with the things he was learning. I was really impressed because he asked us some very intelligent questions. To put the cherry on top he kept his commitment to attend church this past weekend.
I´m really grateful that we have been able to teach Nicolas. I have now been in Chacabuco for about 4 months, and I can´t help but be amazed by God´s work here. You would think that with four months I would have knocked every house, and been to every nook and cranny but God continues to open the windows of heaven and lead us to more and more of his children. I hope that I can be an instrument in his hands.
I know that God lives. I know that Christ is our Savior and that he leads his church through his prophet Russell M. Nelson. I know that Christ has 12 apostles on the earth. I´m not sure if I ever mentioned it but when I did my study abroad in Asia I was able to meet Elder Gong in Hong Kong. He is a great man.
I love you all! You are always in my prayers.
Elder Lambert
