Avanzamos- no parramos, 3/20/17

Hola mama y familia!!!

Sounds like you had a really fun time at Dry Bar Comedy! That sounds like an awesome place- and even more perfect for the Provo scene. I hope they have a lot of success. And that´s crazy that Dad got cast in a PBS production! Super cool! I´m sorry you can´t go to St. George but I hope you can figure out a way that you can have a little get away and "sharpen the saw". It´s important that we take the time every so often to get away and feel renewed.

We had a really good week spiritually here in Santos Lugares. In the mission we have been really focusing in on how we can promise blessings more specifically to each person that we teach.

This past tuesday in our district meeting the zone leaders lead the workshop. I really felt like I was able to feel the Spirit and receive personal revelation during the training. The training really made me think about how I plan for each investigator. I have been trying to think more about them and what blessings that they need in their life. As I think about the blessings they need I can know what commandment they need to live in order to receive that blessing. Thinking about it in that way has really helped to love and help each specific person that we´re visiting with their individual circumstances.

One of our    big successes this week was working with Mariano, an investigator that we found the previous week. We went with Mariano this past Wednesday morning to do a tour of the church. He showed a lot of interest and I really believe he felt the Spirit inside the chapel.

After the beautiful visit with Mariano Wednesday we had another good lesson Friday, and finished off the week by helping him with the building of his house for an hour on Saturday. He was pouring concrete to make his roof, and we helped out shoveling the materials, and passing buckets, etc.

He were really excited to have Mariano come to church and we called him Saturday night to confirm his plans. Unfortunately, Sunday morning came and went without him attending church. We still don´t know why he didn´t come but I´m still very grateful for the moments we were able to have with him Saturday working on the house, it was a really beautiful refreshing moment to just really step in and help someone in need. I hope that Mariano can keep coming unto Jesus Christ and that we are able to continue working with him in these coming weeks.

Our final miracle of the week was Micaela, a friend of a member that came to church yesterday. The member, notified us that Micaela would be coming and advised us to be sensitive because she was going through some difficulties. We took the time to talk with her for a few minutes after church and she expressed to us that her father died 5 months ago, and since his passing she has been experiencing a number of trials.

Micaela is now become the provider for her family (herself and her Mom) with the passing of her father. We expressed God´s love for her, and shared a part of the plan of salvation before praying together. We really hope that she can come unto Christ and find healing with her family in this time of need. We will be organizing a visit with her this week, and we have high hopes that she will continue seeking Jesus Christ in his church on the earth.

Thank you all for your love and support. Remember that we only have today. make sure to make time each day for the small things that are most important. Seek out your Savior Jesus Christ daily. He is mighty to save. I´m so grateful to serve as a representative of him.

Love,
Elder Lambert
